1-Click to Remote Targets

For 1-click login to Windows and Linux/Unix devices, the PassMan Secure Login (PMSL) install package is ready.

Download it HERE for Windows and find it HERE for Linux.

Operation details

PassMan creates a special link to connect an Account to its Target.

In case this (special) link is understood by Microsoft Windows than it can lunch another application to execute the commands in the link.

PassMan uses "rdpp://" prefix for built-in Microsoft Remote Desktop client and "sshp://" prefix for free Kitty SSH client.

When Microsoft Windows recognizes this link than it checks the rules to figure out what to do with it.

The rule states that the link should be converted for the right local applications, Remote Desktop or SSH client.

The PassMan package (PMSL Installer) starts Remote Desktop Connection for Microsoft,

and triggers KiTTY local program (for SSH client connection) on Linux targets.

The SSH connect package includes the installation of the free Kitty local application as well.

Error handling

It is possible that you will run into a remote desktop connection authorisation error:

The most likely reason is that the user (that you would like to connect to the Target) is not a member of the remote desktop users list of the terminal servers.

Please visit Microsoft Windows Support Page to resolve this issue.

In some cases the account's password might be expired on the Target. In this case PassMan is not able to connect to the Target with the Accounts' expired credentials.

If that is the case, firts the password has to be changed on the Target, than syncronised with PassMan (change the credentials manualy) and than try again to log in using the 1-click connection.

Note: The crendential has to be changed directly on the Target. No known RDP connection will handle this remotely.
